Woodfire Workshop with

Tammy Parks-Legge

Sept 6/7

max 8 participants, $165+gst (no refunds)

Sept 6/7

Saturday Sept 6: load kiln, this takes 2-4 hours and the exact time will be determined closer to the date.  Attendance is required!

Sunday Sept 7: firing, we will work in pairs for 3-4 hour shifts during the firing.  Each participant must be available for the firing day.  Total firing time is 14-16 hours.

Pickup day/time: this will be a few days after the firing and will be determined on loading day.

All pots must be glazed and wadded. Wadding will be provided by end of July.

Any of the clay and glazes offered at EPG can be used for the woodfire and Columbia white is being purchased on a regular basis as it offers a toasty result in the wood kiln.  It may be possible to do some glazing at Viva Clayworks for an additional fee - $15-$30.

There will be about one shelf of space per person - 12"x24"x8" and it’s best if everyone can bring a variety of pieces, including small pieces as pots will be loaded by size and there’s always room for space fillers.

Tammy lives in Parkland county and she will be with us during the length of the firing but we will be doing all of the stoking work.  Her house is located about 45 minutes from the guild.
