The combination of working and firing properties make H570 a very good choice for functional ware for the majority of people. H570 fires whiter and throws better than other popular whiteware bodies manufactured in North America. It is less vitreous than some porcelains, but it has a better drying performance, is less prone to warping in the kiln, easier to fit glazes to and potentially more consistent.
